The Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Teacher Education Department at Miami University invite teachers of all foreign languages to present at its 2014 Miami University Conference on the Teaching of Languages (MUCTL):  Rejuvenating Language Teaching, Learning and Assessment.

The conference will take place on Friday, October 10, 2014 at The Miami University Voice of America Learning Center located in a suburb of Cincinnati, West Chester, Ohio.

We are seeking presentations that offer direction and practical ideas for experienced or new language educators to use in their classrooms, sharing strategies to rejuvenate, modernize or renew language teaching, learning and assessment. Lead presenters may submit one proposal, but can serve as additional presenters in other sessions. If you are interested in presenting at the conference, please submit a proposal by May 15, 2014 containing the following information:

a) Presenter(s) information (Name(s), institution/affiliation, address, phone, email),
b) Session Title (75 character maximum)
c) Session Description – this text appears will the program (450 character maximum),
d) Target audience:  list all that apply (elementary, middle school, high school, higher education professionals)
e) Applicable Languages. Language of Presentation must be English.  Examples may be applied to one or all languages.

You will be notified regarding acceptance by May 30, 2014.   Presenters must submit their session handouts no later than September 20, 2014, for distribution to all conference attendees in electronic form.

Presenters serve on a contributing basis, are required to register for the conference and pay for the reduced presenter rate of $25.  Presenters are not reimbursed for lodging or travel. Please consider this opportunity to present and contribute to the foreign language teaching profession.
