Minor in Spanish: Latin American Literatures and Cultures or Hispanic Linguistics

The Spanish minor consists of a minimum of 15 credit hours distributed as indicated below. A minimum grade of C- in all courses counting toward the minor is required. Honors students must take 3450H and fulfill additional requirements. Courses taught in English may not count toward the minor program. (H) and (E) denotes Honors and Embedded Honors versions available. Non-Honors students must meet minimum GPA and pre-requisite requirements to be considered for enrollment in Honors or Embedded Honors sections.

Orientation (9 hours) These 3 courses are required (the following courses are 3 credit hours)

  • 3403(H) Intermediate Spanish Composition 
  • 3450(H) Introduction to the Study of Literature & Culture
