K12 Funding Opportunities

K-12 Teacher Classroom Resource Grant

K-12 Teacher Classroom Resource Grant is open to any full-time teacher at an elementary, middle school, or high school in the United States or Puerto Rico, focusing on a lesson centering Latin America/Latin American content. A completed grant application includes the grant proposal, budget documentation, and updated curriculum vitae/resume.

The grant proposal should be a two-page description of the proposed project, its relevance and connection to Latin America/Latin American content, and an explanation of how the proposed project advances knowledge and understanding of Latin America within the applicant’s classroom.

The itemized budget should allocate how grant funds will be applied to proposed project costs. Applicants must also include relevant budget documentation that supports the budget request (screenshot of materials and cost, a sample itinerary, vendor estimates for cultural activities, etc.)

A current CV/resume, with appropriate contact information of school and applicant.

Teachers who wish to apply should submit a completed grant application (Grant Proposal, Itemized Budget and Curriculum Vitae/Resume) to Patricia Vocal (vocal.4@osu.edu) by September 1, 2020. The Center for Latin American Studies accepts grant applications on a rolling basis. Please note that the funds will be centrally administered through CLAS. All activities must take place and funds be used by the end of the 2020-2021 academic school year.

Please direct any questions to the Center for Latin American Studies, at clas@osu.edu.
