The Brazil Gateway team attended the 2026 conference of the Brazilian Association for International Education (FAUBAI), held in Florianópolis from April 11–15.

The event brought together leaders in global education to reflect on the future of internationalisation in higher education.

This year’s theme, “Internationalisation for a Multipolar World,” focused on how collaboration is increasingly shaped by diverse perspectives, regional priorities, and shared responsibilities—moving beyond a single dominant model.

During the conference, Brazil Gateway’s Senior Director, Jane K. Aparecido, presented a session about the outcomes from our pre-COP30 roundtable, in collaboration with the NGO Meli Bees and Professor Hilton Pereira da Silva (Federal University of Pará).

The Ohio State University’s participation in FAUBAI 2026 reflects its continued commitment to academic collaboration and global partnerships that support students, faculty, and communities.
