Join us at this all-ages event for reflections about our muertos, personal ofrendas(offerings or altars), a short reading and book signing, performances, and a hands-on art-making session.

While you’re here, enjoy free refreshments including tamales, hot chocolate, and traditional pan de muerto (Mexican bread of the dead).

All are welcome to celebrate departed loved ones and participate in this vibrant Latinx tradition with Mesoamerican Indigenous roots.

Taco Reparations Brigade Performance Project

Members of the Columbus Taco Reparations Brigade activate the theme of animals, pets, and the nonhuman through ephemeral performance vignettes and depictions of memory, play, and resilience.

Reading of Popo the Xolo by Paloma Angelina Lopez

Join Paloma Angelina Lopez for a reading of her debut children’s book, Popo the Xolo, an illustrated story about life, death, and celebrating those we love.

Join the celebration with an interactive dance piece featuring original choreography by Alfonso Abraham Cervera from the Ohio State Department of Dance and performed by Ohio State students.
