Description

The Fall 2015 Latin American Film Series will include 6 selected films on "Spatial Dystopia in Neoliberal Latin America". The film, "Mutum" was released in 2007 in Brazil, by filmmaker Sandra Kogut. A coming-of-age story, Thiago lives with his family on an isolated farm in the arid backlands of Brazil and is forced to confront separations and betrayal as he begins to understand a place that he had never been able to before, thus slowly letting go of his innocence.

 

In conjunction with Columbus State Community College's Department of Global Diversity, this film will also be shown at CSCC on Wednesday, Oct. 14 in room DE 121 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
