Roundtable Discussion and Reception

Thursday, February 4th, 2016

180 Hagerty Hall

4:00 pm

The human experience is defined by migrations. We are an inherently nomadic species, moving from place to place, always imprinting our diasporic consciousness upon the various sites we call home. Nowhere is this migratory culture more visible than in the Americas.

Join us as we discuss the broader context of migratory histories and realities of the Americas with Professors Ignacio Corona, Mat Coleman, Guisela Latorre, and Abril Trigo. The roundtable will be held in conjunction with Columbus-based Latina artist Mabi Ponce de León’s work, which will concurrently hang in Hagerty Hall’s Global Gallery.

Refreshments will be served after the discussion.

Exhibit Dates: January 11 - February 4

To RSVP, please email Megan Hasting.

This event is sponsored by The Ohio State University Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
