The 19th Annual Ohio Latin Americanist Conference will be held February 24-25, 2023 at Ohio University (Athens, OH).

Proposals are now being accepted, through Friday, December 9, 2022!

  • ALL Latin Americanists and Latinx Studies scholars, educators, and students from institutions of higher education are invited to participate in OLAC.
  • OLAC is a highly interdisciplinary conference, and Latin American/Latinx research from any field is welcome!
  • Special panels will be held for creative writing and translation, and for high school teachers.
  • First-time conference presenters may opt for a shorter, 10-minute mini-presentation if they prefer.
  • This year, OLAC will feature poster presentations as well!
  • OLAC will be held in-person, with the option of presenting (but not attending) virtually.
