As part of the Latin American Literature & Transnational Film Adaptations film series, we will be showing the film: Like Water For Chocolate!

Synopsis:  In a forgotten Mexican town, Tita and Pedro fall in love, but are forbidden to marry. After Pedro marries Tita’s sister, their mother can’t forbid their love like she did their marriage. (1992, Alfonso Arau, Mexico)
