Add to Calendar 2021-03-25 16:00:00 2021-03-25 18:15:00 2021 SACNAS Keynote Address The SACNAS Chapter at Ohio State and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and are pleased to invite you to their virtual SACNAS Keynote Event on Thursday, March 25 starting at 4:00 pm EST. The Keynote Address will be given by Dr. Ximena Cid, who is the Chair of the Department of Physics at California State University-Dominguez Hills. The Keynote Address will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 pm with a networking event to follow at 5:15 - 6:15 pm. Both events are open to all, and links will be sent to all registrants prior to the event. She is one of only six indigenous Ph.D. holders in physics/astrophysics in the country and is one of about 20 Hispanic women working as physics faculty in bachelor’s-granting institutions in the U.S. Cid was selected as a 2020 delegate to the International Conference on Women in Physics, sponsored by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).  Zoom Center for Latin American Studies clas@osu.edu America/New_York public

Dr. Ximena Cid

Dr. Cid is of Latin American descent and identifies as Chicana and Yaqui.
