This year's theme is Liberation.The fourth film, On the Roof  (El Techo; Cuba, 2017), is a romantic comedy which also tackles problems facing contemporary Cuban youth. In this production, a flat rooftop in an old Havana neighborhood is the natural habitat for three friends who spend their days and nights dreaming about the future.Following the screening of the film, please join Dr. Laura Podalsky, Distinguished Professor of Spanish & Portuguese, and Rob Lassche, graduate Student at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese for a discussion and Q&A about the movie.  This event is supported in part by grant funding from the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI NRC funding.
