This year, the scope of the TRECE symposium will be expanded to include a comparative focus on Spain and Portugal, an effort that seeks to broaden our understanding of racial processes in a larger Iberian context. The three-day event will bring together a diverse cohort of experts dedicated to anti-racist scholarship, pedagogy, art, and activism within and beyond Spain and Portugal. It will also feature keynote speakers including Paloma Chen and guest speakers.CLAS is supporting this initiative because, while the event centers Iberia, the topic of race brings other regions like Latin America into the fold. The Call for Papers is out now. More information about the symposium will be added to this page as it's made available.
