From the individual to the community, the land to urban spaces, and traditional to ancestral, Compañía provides a deeper understanding of perspectives of home and migration. The film stretches notions of Indigenous Cinema using documentary, experimental, and visual poetry. Meet the Director:Miguel Hilari studied cinema in La Paz, Santiago de Chile, and Barcelona. His films El corral y el viento (2014), Compañía (2019), and Bocamina (2019) deal with immigration, colonial history, and indigenous identity. They have been screened and awarded at international festivals. He also works as a producer and editor and leads a project that organizes film workshops in rural communities.
