Originating in Rio de Janeiro in the 1950s and 1960s, bossa nova is an important part of Brazilian culture. Join the Brazil Gateway and the Alumni Club of Brazil on Wednesday, June 7, 5-6 PM Eastern / 6 - 7 PM Brazil for this presentation about bossa nova, its history and musical influence. Hear from Roberto Abramson, a composer who participated in various academic events with renowned artists such as Ivan Lins, Gonzaguinha and Aldir Blanc, with Pedro M. Pereira, an alto saxophone player.
