This semester, CLAS is teaming up with the Spanish Film Club to organize a "Women in Transnational Ibero American Film Festival", sponsored by Pragda, the OSU Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese, the Student Life Multicultural Center, and the OSU Film Studies program.
The Spring 2016 Film Series will include 5 selected films on "Women in transnational Ibero American film." The third film, "El niño pez" was released in 2009 in Argentina by filmmaker Lucía Puenzo. In the film, a desperate love story between two young girls of extremely different social backgrounds ensues. They are unable to find a place for their love in the world they live in, which pushes them to commit a crime.
