Join the Center for Latin American Studies for the Forging Freedom: Afro-Latin American Independence Movements symposium. This event focuses on Black leaders and freedom fighters, and emphasizes the Black Latin American population that has been part of the history of the continent for centuries—not only as enslaved people, but as agents who fought for their countries’ independence.
