The Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of History are pleased to announce that on March 23rd, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm, Dr. Gilbert Joseph will be presenting a talk on "The Once and Future Revolution: Social Upheaval and the Challenge of Rule during Mexico's Long Twentieth Century" at 165 Thompson Library.
Dr. Gilbert Joseph is the Farnam Professor of History and International Studies at Yale University. He studies the history of modern Latin America, particularly Mexico and Central America, revolutionary and social movements, and U.S.-Latin American relations, especially during and after the Cold War. He was previously the Director of Latin American and Iberian Studies at Yale and represented Yale at the New England Consortium of Latin American Studies.
