Latin American Film Series: Zona Sur
DescriptionThe Fall 2015 Latin American Film Series will include 6 selected films on "Spatial Dystopia in Neoliberal Latin America". The film, "Zona Sur" was released in 2009 in Bolivia, by filmmaker Juan Carlos Valdivia. A deeply moving portrayal of social change, Zona Sur depicts a rich, upper-class family locked into their onw little world, as Bolivia's social changes threaten to burst their bubble. In conjunction with Columbus State Community College's Department of Global Diversity, this film will also be shown at CSCC on Wednesday, Oct. 28 in room DE 121 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.
