
CLAS is partnering up with the Seminario de Lenguaje, Género y Sexualidad, an initiative organized by graduate and undergraduate students from different universities of Mexico (UAEM-Morelos, UNAM) and the US (Ohio State) to discuss issues of language, gender and sexuality in Latin America. The next speaker in the series is Mtro. Enrique Meléndez Zarco (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). This virtual event will take place on October 15th at 4:00 p.m. (EST)/2:00 p.m. (CDMX).

Abstract
En esta sesión se propone ofrecer herramientas teórico-metodológicas en un eje pragmático-discursivo para el estudio de los prejuicios en cuestión de género. Se destacarán las categorías y las posibilidades de análisis en diferentes tipos de discurso en español para abordar esta importante problemática sociocultural que invita a un acercamiento de carácter interdisciplinario, desde una lingüística integral.
