CLAS is partnering up with the Seminario de Lenguaje, Género y Sexualidad, an initiative organized by graduate and undergraduate students from different universities of Mexico (UAEM-Morelos, UNAM) and the US (Ohio State) to discuss issues of language, gender and sexuality in Latin America. The next speaker in the series is Dr. Tulio Bermúdez (University of Chicago). This virtual event will take place on November 19 at 3:00 p.m. (EST)/2:00 p.m. (CDMX).

Abstract
La plática será una conversación interactiva y performativa entre les participantes donde procesamos con lenguaje emociones relacionadas con experiencias que hemos sobrevivido como violencias de género, abusos de poder, y microagresiones o discriminación diaria. Traigan un diario y/o art materials para procesar estos temas difíciles, y estense preparades para socializar experiencias traumáticas y posiblemente re-traumatizantes. Es importante socializar temas de tabú para enfrentarnos a la vida y para apoyarnos para seguir luchando hacia un mundo que soñamos en momentos liminales
