2020-2021 FLAS Fellowship competition opens

CLAS is seeking applications for fellowships for summer 2020 and academic year 2020-2021 under the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship program. Fellowships are available for Ohio State graduate and professional school students pursuing a course of study requiring advanced foreign language and area studies training, as well as undergraduate students. Subject to approval, FLAS fellowships may also be used for foreign language and area studies at other U.S. or foreign institutions.

Applications will be submitted online and are due by Monday, February 3, 2020, 4:30 p.m. EST. Detailed application instructions can be found at https://clas.osu.edu/FLAScompetition/flas2020-2021

Students are also invited to attend one of CLAS FLAS Fellowship information sessions, to be held in Enarson Classroom Building (2009 Millikin Road), Room 100, as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 26: 3:00 - 4:00 PM
  • Monday, December 2: 5:00 - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, December 12: 10:00 - 11:00 AM
  • Wednesday, January 15: 12:30 - 1:30 PM
