CLAS Awards Six Additional FLAS Fellowships for Academic Year 2024-25

The Center for Latin American Studies is proud to announce six additional recipients of its Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship competition for Academic Year 2024-25. Please find a list of names below, with additional fellows' names in bold.

Three of these fellowships will support dissertation writing, and three will support the learning of advanced Spanish and beginning Portuguese. In total, FLAS awards for Summer 2024 and Academic Year 2024-2025 constitutes over $305,000 in funding from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as over $130,000 in matching funding from the Graduate School and $8,000 in stipend contribution from the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Department of Anthropology.
