Anais Fernandez Castro is an Academic Year 2023-2024 undergraduate FLAS fellow studying Quechua. Anais is pursuing a Dual Degree in Political Science: Political Analysis and Spanish: Hispanic Linguistics.

"The language (Quechua) holds a lot of familiar meaning to me. It’s a form of reconnecting to my homeland as a Peruvian native.

I want to pursue a doctorate in Anthropology as well as hopefully work for the government one day in International Relations."
