Arón Olegnowicz is an Academic Year 2023-2024 undergraduate FLAS fellow studying Portuguese. Arón is pursuing two majors, one in Political Science, and one in Psychology, as well as a minor in Geography and another one in History.

"Being originally from Mexico City, I aspire to help other aspiring Americans by serving my country as a Foreign Service Officer. Since my regions of professional interest are mainly Africa and Latin America, mastering Portuguese will prepare me better to serve in rapidly rising regions such as Brazil and Angola.

The Lusophone world and its diversity fascinate me, especially for its similarities with the Hispanic world, so I am both honored and thrilled to be a FLAS Portuguese Fellow this school year."
