Viana Rodrigues is an Academic Year 2022-2023 undergraduate FLAS fellow studying Portuguese. Viana is pursuing a major in Public Health with a minor in Portuguese.

"I am studying Portuguese to have a better lingual and cultural connection with my family back in Portugal. I want to have the ability to be trilingual, which will help me become more connected with aspects in future-- my career, family, and the world.

I currently am studying public health and with that, I plan to go to medical school and become a OBGYN or pediatrician."
