The Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) offers summer and academic year fellowships for graduate and undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree and need advanced training in language and area studies. The fellowship seeks to enhance students' language skills and knowledge of a foreign country or region through coursework. CLAS offers fellowships for students studying Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Quechua. 

We are now accepting applications for Summer 2019 and the Academic Year 2019-2020. 

CLAS will hold numerous information sessions in November and December 2018. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the following sessions which will take place in Enarson Classroom Building, Room 100:

• Friday, November 16: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
• Monday, November 19: 11:00 - 12:00 PM
• Tuesday, November 27: 9:00 - 10:00 AM
• Wednesday, December 5: 12:30 - 1:30 PM
• Thursday, December 13: 4:00 - 5:00 PM
