HST3105: History of Brazil is a course taught by Dr. Jennifer Eaglin and it will be offered Spring 2021. The class will meet T/Th 11:10 am-12:30 pm.
Course Description:
Known for its beaches, carnival, and soccer, Brazilian history is a far deeper story of colonialism, slavery, agricultural wealth, immigration, industrial development, political conflict over authoritarianism and democracy, and more. This course will provide a survey of the deep history of the country and its struggle to become a modern, developed nation.
