With more than 20 years’ experience in mental health service system research, Dr. Early is an affiliate of the Center for Latin American Studies at OSU, a member of the 2012 Council on Social Work Education Research Delegation to Cuba, and serves as the Chair of the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work. In 2011-12, she was a Fulbright-Garcia Robles research fellow at the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City.
Dr. Early has published more than two dozen articles and book chapters in social work and mental health journals. Her recent publications include Comparative Social Welfare Models in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, and Mexico: The Impact of Neoliberalism and Globalization on Social Policy and Social Justice (proposal under review); “Youth as Social Actors: Countering Crime and Improving Neighborhoods in Mexico City.” Early, T.J., & Warren, K.
