Add to Calendar 2021-09-07 13:30:00 2021-09-07 15:00:00 Conversations on a Changing Planet: A Planet Two Degrees Hotter The fourth installment of the Abya Yala Student Organization's Conversations on a Changing Planet and Latin America will take place Tuesday, Sept. 7 (1:30pm EST) with Dr. Bryan Mark presenting his talk called, "Abya Yala on a Planet Two Degrees Hotter". This event will be presented in English.   Dr. Bryan Mark is Professor in OSU's Department of Geography and is the State Climatologist of Ohio. He is an expert in tropical glaciers and in the interactions between earth, water, and atmosphere. His Glacier Environmental Change research group, part of the Byrd Polar Research Center, addresses physical and human dimensions of environmental change in glacierized landscapes in sites all along the American Cordillera, as well as Africa and Asia. His research group collaborates with researchers in different institutions internationally and uses multiple methods from paleoclimatology, geomorphology, embedded instrumentation, hydrology, GIS, remote sensing, and biogeochemistry.   Zoom Center for Latin American Studies clas@osu.edu America/New_York public

Bryan Mark
