This year's theme is Liberation.The second film, La Yuma  (Nicaragua, 2011), tells the story of a young woman who dreams of transcending her bleak life in the slums of Managua by becoming a boxer.Following the screening of the film, please join Dr. Kammi Schmeer, Professor in the Department of Sociology, and Dr. Nicole Kraft, Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Communication, for a discussion and Q&A about the movie.  This event is supported in part by grant funding from the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI NRC funding.
