This year's theme is Liberation.The first film, Neither heroe, nor traitor (Ni héroe ni traidor; Argentina, 2020), takes place in Buenos Aires in 1982. The protagonist, Matías, dreams of going to Spain to study music and escape the Argentine dictatorship. However, as the Falklands/Malvinas war breaks out, Matías is drafted and faced a difficult decision.Following the screening of the film, please join Dr. Ana del Sarto, Associate Professor of Literatures and Cultures of Latin America at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and Nik King, Graduate Student at the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, for a discussion and Q&A about the movie.  This event is supported in part by grant funding from the U.S. Department of Education's Title VI NRC funding.
